STRATOVARIUS To Sign New Deal With SANCTUARY

Finnish daily newspaper Iltalehti (www.iltalehti.fi) reports that STRATOVARIUS will ink a brand-new three-album deal with Sanctuary Records (parent company of Noise Records) on Friday (October 31) in Germany. The deal, which is said to be worth three million euros (approx. $3.5 million),will reportedly be signed in elk's blood!

In an interview with Russia's Darkside E-Zine conducted on October 20, keyboardist Jens Johansson said that band never had a problem with Noise Records when they were previously signed to the and the only reason they changed to Nuclear Blast for the last couple of albums was "money." It was not clear from Johansson's words which label will be releasing the band's live DVD, which is scheduled for spring next year. STRATOVARIUS' latest album, "Elements Pt. 2", was issued this past Monday (Oct. 27) through Nuclear Blast.
